Release Notes:
Since version 2.5 of the ZyPer Management Platform, we introduced a new form of updating firmware on the ZyPerUHD endpoints. This allows the user a simple process to update all ZyPerUHD hardware.

Improvements:
- Add the feature the routed AES67 Transmitter IP address will be saved.
- Reduced the signal lost detection report delay on Encoder from 5 seconds to 1 second, changes the stream lost detection report delay on Decoder to immediately.
- Keep SSH HOST KEY constant until factory reset.
- Ignore invalid ch_select configuration on encoders
- Saving AES67 configuration for next booting.
- Switching to idle screen will keep the current resolution for enhancing the experience.

- astparam will always return a default value when there is no configuration instead of ‘not defined’.
Issues fixed:
- Fixed issue converted model does not work with 1.9.x unified FW.

Issues Resolved
- Encoders connected to one-to-many Decoders send unnecessary commands that will cause the video to fail on the decoders.
- Encoders may be slow to respond with many Decoders on the network.
- Wallplate Encoders would reboot or drop video due to a memory leak.
- UHD60 encoder and decoders now support 1500 MTU for all packets Max length.
- On new joins, UHD60 decoders may flicker to the idle screen before stabilizing.
- Decoder switching may flash the engineering On Screen Display (OSD) information.
- EDID on ZUHD60-1EA is not saved after rebooting.

Installing the New Firmware:
ZyPer Management Platform version 2.5 and newer has a revamped firmware process. Now all ZyPerUHD & ZyPerUHD60 devices use a single *.up1update file. This applies to encoders, decoders, and all hardware versions of ZyPerUHD/ZyPerUHD60.
- Please visit the ZeeVee website to obtain the latest version of the firmware.
- Click on the link on the ZeeVee website to download the latest firmware to your local computer.
- Make note of the location where the firmware file was downloaded.
- Enable the Source and/or Display panel from the Panel Selection Menu.
- Right-Click on the device and select Device Details and then select Actions.
- Drop the appropriate *.UP1 file in the outlined box grey shaded area.
- The *.UP1 file name will appear below the words "Selected file".
- Click the "Update Device" button.
- A confirmation box will appear. Click "Update" to proceed and "Cancel" to abandon the update.
- The video will drop when the device reboots at the end of the update process.
- Refer to log panel for more information on device update.
For ZMP Versions older than 2.5, use these instructions:
1. Download the latest firmware ZIP file from the ZeeVee website. Make note of the location of where the ZIP file was downloaded.
2. Extract the two .BIN files from the ZIP file.
3. Open Windows Explorer and enter the IP address of the Management Platform using FTP.
4. The files folder will be displayed.
5. Drag and drop the .BIN files into the /files folder.
6. Use the Telnet protocol to access the Management Platform API.
7. Use the “update device” command to update the encoders and decoders.
8a. When updating ZyPerUHD encoders, specify the file that matches “IPE5000_xxx.bin” with “xxx” replaced with the file version number.
8b. When updating ZyPerUHD decoders, specify the file that matches “IPD5000_xxx.bin” with “xxx” representing the file version.
9a. For MAC addresses that begin with: 34:1b:22 - use the file extension .bin.
9b. For MAC addresses that begin with: 6c:df:fb - use the file extension .bin2.
10. The ZyPerUHD devices will automatically reboot at the end of the update process.
