ZeeVee is a producer of the world’s finest audio and video distribution equipment for professional applications. We specialize in AV over IP, video streaming, and RF modulation. Our products are used by corporate, education, and government entities around the world. End customers include VICE Media, Warner Media, META (Facebook), BET MGM, The World Health Organization, and the United States Department of Defence.
We are hiring to expand our sales team to address the demand for our products that are available (and in stock) where alternatives are not. We seek someone who is based in the western United States, preferably in California or Arizona, within a 30-minute drive to a major airport. Do not apply for this role if your current home is not located in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, or Colorado.
Vital Elements for Sales Success in 2023
1. Experience selling or competing against Crestron DM NVX AV-over-IP within the last 12 to 18 months.
2. Working knowledge of other AV-over-IP competitors, including but not limited to, AVPro Edge, Visual Solutions (VSI), Extron, Kramer, Atlona, SVSI.
3. ZeeVee has AV-over-IP products available for shipment. We require salespeople who want to maximize their comp plan's variable component and can hit the ground running.
4. Understand the benefits of working for a small agile organization. At the same time, know that smaller organizations have limited resources and must focus on a smaller set of initiatives and tools.
5. Focused and driven by what it takes to be a successful field salesperson.
6. Not interested in being part of the inside sales, marketing, or operations teams, etc.
7. High energy level
8. A hunter in heart and mind but knows and understands how to farm.
9. Multifaceted – truly knows the territory, specific contacts at the following organization types that ZeeVee pursues daily:
a. ProAV integrators – very high importance
b. Consultants – high importance
c. End users – important
d. Strategic partners – willing to learn
e. Distributors – essential but cannot place reliance on distributor salespeople and expect to be successful
10. Job hoppers are an instant turnoff – while most of us have points in our career where we jumped around and took a chance on an organization or two – someone who has made a career of spending 2 to 3 years at jobs and moving is not desirable.
11. Reside within a 45 min drive to an airport, which allows for efficient and cost-effective territory coverage.
12. Willing and able to secure 300 appointments per business year. If one takes part in three appointments on average per day, this equates to 100 business days on the road or 40% road time. It is important to note that the calculations assume day trips within 100 miles of one's home.
Position Summary
The ZeeVee Territory Sales Manager is an experienced commercial hunter and proven closer responsible for developing and executing the sales plan within the respective territory to drive profitable growth. They will increase revenue by identifying and closing business deals through direct sales to professional audio-visual integrators, consultants, end customers, strategic partners, and distributors within the defined territory. This key multifaceted person understands how to marshal resources to move an opportunity to close while identifying and navigating the complexity of the buying process in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve revenue established revenue targets for the defined territory.
2. Identify, prospect, and qualify opportunities via warm and cold calls.
3. Develop strong relationships with top integrators, dealers, and consultants within the assigned territory.
4. Ability to identify, target, and pursue critical influencers at professional audio-visual integrators and consultants. The result is that the integrator or consultant designing a solution that requires video distribution will specify ZeeVee products.
5. Manage the onboarding process of resellers and dealer arrangements.
6. Manage relationships with the distribution partner's sales team to secure meetings with professional audio-visual integrators.
7. Work with channel management team members to ensure distributor staff receives the necessary ZeeVee products and promotions training.
8. Work directly with partners and use our CRM software to identify, track, maintain, and update a current list of accounts, contacts, opportunities, and their potential value to ZeeVee.
9. Arrange and conduct product demonstrations by leveraging ZeeVee's demo/evaluation program.
10. Develop a robust opportunity pipeline that is tracked and forecasted.
11. Maintain awareness/knowledge of competitive products and pricing to best position ZeeVee to maximize sales and profit.
12. Operate in alignment with standard processes for sales and lead generation; provide regular, accurate forecasts; regularly update Salesforce to track contact information and activities.
13. Must be a team player and have experience working with national and global accounts.
Requirements
1. 5+ years of progressive experience in channel business development and account management within the Audio-Visual industry with demonstrated success in increasing revenue year over year.
2. Demonstrated ability to hunt for new business and effectively close deals.
3. Intimate knowledge of and relationships within I.T. and Pro A.V. dealer networks.
4. Business Development experience with Audio Visual solution-selling at Enterprise Level.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
6. Ability and willingness to use all available technology tools in 2023, including the triedand-true phone.
7. CRM experience, preferably Salesforce.
8. Ability to develop strong relationships across all levels of an organization, including executives.
9. Proven ability to respond quickly and accurately on multiple priorities.
10. Ability to travel 40% of the time within the defined territory.
11. Ability to leverage today's video conferencing tools, including ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
12. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
13. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
14. Must have a full, valid, and clean driver's license.

- Candidate - responds to and resolves customer technical inquiries and issues via e-mail, phone, or chat. Assists customers with installations and issue resolution. The candidate will utilize a database of technical product information for inform decisions and recommendations. Recommends maintenance and configuration best practices that improve product usability, performance, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the candidate records client interactions, including inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken. May train or guide lower-level specialists or representatives. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Reports to the departmental manager. The work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. This candidate will contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project. The position requires minimum of 4-7 years of related experience. Can work remotely but maybe required to come to the office on occasion.
