As the saying goes, “absence makes the heart grow fonder.” That’s certainly the case when it comes to having InfoComm Southeast Asia back in action for the first time in three years as the region begins to reopen from COVID-19 lockdowns. In fact, we’re finding the opportunities in Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia are growing rapidly, which makes us confident this will be a fruitful show.

As I write these words, less than a week removed from CEDIA Expo 2022, the buoyant mood that prevailed in Dallas continues, with AV professionals leveraging the connections they made, digesting the education they took in and considering new technology applications. CEDIA Expo also marked the announcement of arguably the most exciting initiative I’ve been part of in my 18-year career as a technology journalist — namely, Commercial Integrator Expo, which will co-locate with CEDIA Expo in Denver next year.

He’s often found in the ZeeVee lab, a space where he is able to emulate customers’ AV systems to better understand their issues and more quickly work to find a solution.
