‘World-first’ MR immersive butterfly trail to be launched

August 7, 2023


Immersive experience studio Pixel Artworks, has created The Butterfly Trail, a mixed reality experience with world-first technology features, that is due to launch on 5 September at Outernet London.

The Butterfly Trail will guide visitors through explorer Professor Peter Pelegrin’s Botanical Workshop and into his Glass House, where they can interact with the experience without the need for a special device, headset or downloaded mobile app – just the browser on their smartphone. Technical Debt in Higher Ed

In the IT world the phrase “technical debt” is a well-known phrase and it is used effectively to describe problems and why they are so difficult (expensive) to fix. The term first came about in 1992 and was coined by Ward Cunningham. Cunningham was particularly referring to software coding, and that is a common way the word is used. However, I think that it is a phrase that can be expanded to apply well to our classrooms and AV systems across colleges and universities. Link to the entire story.

Midwich announces Tech Xpo 2023 dates
