Dmitri Hunt, Senior Hardware Engineer, ZeeVee

Did you know that inside of every ZeeVee device is an intricate design of copper and fiberglass used to ensure the proper flow of electrical signals that enable the product to work correctly? The mastermind behind these designs is Dmitri Hunt, our senior hardware engineer. Since November 2022, Dmitri’s primary responsibility has been to design printed circuit boards (PCBs) for the company’s products and work with other engineers to ensure they meet the necessary and exacting specifications and requirements of a range of AV applications.

“The pro AV industry is being rapidly transformed by advancements in technology. New innovations are allowing for more immersive and engaging experiences with greater convenience and ease of use. From cutting-edge multiview displays to interactive touchscreens, as companies continue to invest in research and development, we can expect to see even more exciting advancements in the industry,” said Dmitri.

Beyond his work in pro AV with ZeeVee, Dmitri is most proud of his work designing PCBs for neurovascular surgical robots at Corindus Vascular Robotics. His prior work there will one day help surgeons perform complex procedures with greater accuracy and precision.

“What I enjoy most about ZeeVee is its close, personal environment because it allows for a more closely-knit team and a greater sense of camaraderie,” said Dmitri. “I’m able to work and learn alongside colleagues who have a wealth of experience in the industry. It's a great opportunity to expand my own knowledge and skillset.”

In the next five to 10 years, Dmitri expects to see more immersive experiences that coincide with advancements in virtual reality (VR). As VR technology continues to improve and becomes more accessible, it is likely that we will see a rise in its use across several industries, such as gaming, entertainment and even education.

“It’s no secret that ZeeVee puts a lot of effort into helping its customers resolve issues. But what people might not know is that each week, the entire engineering team meets to review issues that came up during that time. That way, we’re able to learn how to better address these problems if or when they arise with a different customer,” said Dmitri.

Dmitri lives in Waltham, Mass., about 30 minutes from ZeeVee’s corporate headquarters in Littleton. In his free time, he likes to write and perform songs, play baseball and attend trivia nights at his local dive bar. As of April 30, he’s engaged to his long-time sweetheart, Hayat. Congrats!
