Exertis Broadcast, formerly JB&A, is a value-added distributor headquartered in San Rafael, California, with an expert staff in video production, broadcast and pro AV markets. The firm, which has a broadcast engineering office in Folsom, California, and broadcast regional offices in New York, Seattle, Dallas, Chicago and Atlanta, strives to help its customers design AV systems that power the correct workflow for their needs.

“Exertis Broadcast is hyper-focused on how media moves from the time it hits the camera all the way to the screen – and evaluating every point in between,” said Nick Smith, VP of technology, Exertis Broadcast. “That focus allows us to have the best products for any designs our clients may bring to the table, as well as a team who understands how those products work.”

The company’s broad reach and state-of-the-art facilities has helped ZeeVee get its products placed in new markets and with customers that may not have been aware of the company previously. Through its reseller base, the company has offered consultation, product and design reviews, as well as technical training sessions to the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball teams; hospitals all over North American; post houses; production companies; broadcast stations; the military; houses of worship and corporations of all sizes.

Exertis Broadcast’s technology center enables customers to get hands-on demonstrations and training sessions on featured equipment with a broadcast engineer, sales rep or vendor rep. They also offer an extensive marketing program that includes a podcast, as well as online demo and training videos.

Recently, Nick and his team were involved in a deployment of ZeeVee ZyPer4K SDVoE AVoIP products to run displays in a project for an esports game show where the client required high quality video transmission with low latency between individual gaming rigs and the graphics engine. Smith is particularly excited by the fact that he can see AV system gear he helped source in action via a Twitch stream.

“ZeeVee is one of our oldest partners in the industry. We have been able to watch the growth and development of their product offering from RF to their dominant position in the AVoIP landscape,” said Nick. “This longevity allows us a high level of trust in their solutions. We’ve sourced a lot of ZeeVee-based systems over the years and have seen many of those clients come back again and again, which also gives us a great deal of confidence in the company.”

“In addition, it is rare that a project goes online without needing some extra attention. ZeeVee support has always been there for our clients from presales to post to ensure their satisfaction.”
