SIGNAL Sessions Webinar Series: Mark Your Calendar for Our Two New Sessions in October!

We are excited to announce two new Certified Solution Partner Training sessions in October, entitled “AV IP Based Network Design” and “AV Control Integration and the API.” These join our original two recurring sessions on AVoIP and RF modulation and ZyPer4K advanced imaging that have remained well-attended on a monthly basis over the two years we have offered them.

Here is a rundown on what you can expect to learn from the new sessions.

AVoIP Based Network Design (first session October 13)

This course will present a comprehensive overview of AVoIP based network design – starting with an introduction to what an IP network switch is and then focusing on important concepts regarding the installation of a functional AVoIP system. Attendees will come to better understand concepts such as switch backplanes, LANs, VLANs, full/half duplex communication, AV directional flow, PoE and PoE budgeting.

In addition, many real-world AVoIP Network system examples will be reviewed and discussed, including the many benefits of the technology. The course wraps up with a high level checklist of things to watch out for and plan for with any AVoIP network design. At the end of the session, attendees will be able to identify different styles of AVoIP Network designs and understand when one style is better to implement based on the specific customer needs. The criticality of making an AVoIP network design plan in advance of these installations will be stressed. Attendees will be awarded 1.0 AVIXA CTS credits.

AV Control Integration and the API (first session October 20)

In this course, attendees will learn details about what an API is, why they are so important and how best to implement and interact with them. Also to be covered are how AV control systems and APIs integrate with AV system hardware. The course includes live API and AV control system demonstrations with a focus on how they interact with each other.

At the conclusion of the course, attendees will understand what an AV system API is and why this knowledge is critical to the design and implementation of AV systems that implement any sort of AV control system, as well as the interaction between AV control systems and AV distribution hardware and how to troubleshoot control issues that can arise between the two different systems during the installation or post-installation stages. Attendees will be awarded 1.0 AVIXA CTS credits.
