As CEO of ZeeVee, Bob Michaels provides the strategic vision to drive profitable growth for the company. Bob brings over 20 years of senior level leadership experience in both private and public technology driven companies, including considerable experience in the video sector.
Prior to ZeeVee, Bob served as President of Magenta Research where he led the transformation of the product portfolio from analog to digital and launched a major expansion into International markets. Bob was also President of Halma Asia, where he led the initial Halma PLC expansion into the Far East, established the group's first manufacturing facility in the region and had overall management responsibility for three subsidiary operations in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Bob was a key member of the senior management team at Solvision, a Montreal start up that developed interferometry based inspection tools for the semiconductor industry that was subsequently sold to Zygo Corporation.
Jeremy Greene is responsible for leading ZeeVee's software development and quality assurance. Jeremy has over 23 years of high-tech engineering experience, and an entrepreneurial drive having co-founded Tatara Systems, a maker of cellular phone/WiFi convergence technologies prior to co-founding ZeeVee. While at Tatara, Jeremy was the Vice President of Engineering and built a 30-person engineering team and spearheaded a $5 million international deal with Vodafone.
Other senior level positions included CTO and vice president of engineering at Xedia (acquired by Lucent). He built a 50-member engineering team there with a 98 percent retention rate over four years, and directed a two-year co-development initiative with UUNet for its site-to-site VPN service.
Jeremy also held contracting and consulting positions at Sonus Networks, Proteon Networks and Chipcom as well as management positions at Coral Networks and InterLAN. Jeremy earned a bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
Steve Metzger is responsible for hardware design and development as well as volume manufacturing of ZeeVee products. With 22 years of industry experience, Steve has co-founded a number of successful New England companies and played key roles at several technology giants.
Prior to co-founding ZeeVee in 2007, he was director of engineering at Sun Microsystems, responsible for the design and development of a wide range of computing platforms from high-end blade servers down to NEBS-qualified embedded systems. He arrived at Sun Microsystems through the acquisition of his prior startup, Nauticus Networks, a developer of sophisticated load-balancing, cryptographic switches and accelerators that he co-founded in 2000.
Before Nauticus, Steve was director of engineering at Lucent Technologies, where he was responsible for the highly successful Cajun line of switching systems, acquired by Lucent when the company purchased Prominet Corp., a company Steve co-founded in 1996. Steve earlier was a key engineer at Chipcom Corp., a co-founder of ANT, and spent seven years at Digital Equipment Corp. He was an active participant in the development of the IEEE standards for 100Mbit and Gigabit Ethernet and holds several patents. Steve earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Norwich University, the Military College of Vermont.
Brian Greene joined ZeeVee in 2008 and is responsible for leading the company's global corporate finance, order administration, legal, human resources and facilities organizations. With almost 30 years of experience, Brian has held several executive level positions leading teams in cross-functional environments.
Prior to ZeeVee, Brian was the Chief Financial Officer of ComBrio, Inc. where he led all functions of finance, legal, human resources and facilities as well as managed the responsibilities of the Corporate Treasurer and Secretary. Brian also served as the Group Controller for ADC Telecommunications and Corporate Controller for Broadband Access Systems, which was acquired by ADC. Brian also held finance positions at Arris Interactive, Nortel Networks, Bay Networks, Xylogics and Deloitte & Touche.
Chris Scurto joined ZeeVee in 2011 as Vice President of Business Development and was promoted to VP of Sales, North America in October of 2013. Chris' experience building and leading high-energy sales and marketing teams in very competitive industries is a perfect fit for ZeeVee. He is a dynamic, results oriented leader with a proven track record of success as a global thinker in the video, data and telecommunication industries.
Chris has worked in senior management roles for industry leading companies like Daniels and Associates, United Artists Entertainment, Wireless Broadcasting Systems of America, and Charter Communications, as well as several start-ups in the data and communication industries.
In addition to North America, Chris has experience developing products and markets in Europe and Eastern Europe, and built the initial business case for ZeeVee's expansion overseas.
Robert Muddiman joined ZeeVee in 2013 to open the UK office in Great Missenden, Buck. As the Sales Director for EMEA, Rob is responsible for driving growth in the region through an expanded distribution network and creating strategic partnerships with key manufacturers. Prior to ZeeVee, Rob was the Pan European Sales Manager at Megenta Research where he drove sales efforts across EMEA for their video distribution solutions, including large matrix switches. Rob also held several sales management positions at Sony and Mitsubishi. Rob started his career at Thorn EMI and held several design including managing the Hardware Design team.
