Component video and optical/analog audio inputs. I would buy this if this had more inputs and was able to switch between them. Then this would be one awesome product!
Component video and optical and/or analog audio inputs.
1080I/P and DD5.1 output over ethernet and coax.
Support computer input resolutions of 1366x768 and 1920x1080 to be converted to 720p/1080i and 1080p respectively.
Allow the ethernet port to stream to a Windows MCE computer whatever input is selected (similiar to the HDHomerun).
With these features the device can do almost anything and will steal business from HDHomerun.
My wishlist:
Imagine having the computer audio and VGA output streaming over coax, while at the same time it is also streaming the component video and audio over ethernet to an MCE computer.
The ZeeVee act like a smart switch where you can choose to have the component or vga signal streamed over ethernet, coax or both.
Offer just the box. Forget about all of the accessories (the initial majority of the people using the product are techies that do not necessarily have the need for all of the accessories). You are losing sales by not offering just the Zv Box.
My wishes for inputs/streaming formats is as follows:
At least 1 HDMI input (no HDCP support since the MPAA would have a cow if that happened)
1 each of VGA, DVI, and analog YPrPb input with respective audio inputs (via coax/optical and/or analog R/L)
1 DisplayPort input if anything (this is pure wishing right now)
A IEEE 1394b (firewireb) input. Since firewireb can deliver a substantial amount of power as well as the capability of matching gigabit ethernet over one line, it would not be impossible to for the Zvbox to become an extension of the pc itself that would power up and down as the pc would.
1 gigabit ethernet port.
Formats:
(If the firewireb option is considered, additional options could be considered as the Zvbox would be an extension of the host pc itself and could therefore receive raw data that is not in video transmission format and still function as it should.)
All major formats including:
Pretty much everything under the sun. Except shockwave. *shivers*

That's exciting news. I can't wait to see where this leads.
