Why won't it go all "full-screeny"?
I double-click the icon, and I just get a tweaked version of Firefox with the Zviewer home page. Where's the full-screen application? I was under the impression that it would be a Joost-like atmosphere...

me 2 :)
Zviewer links to the actual website where the content resides, so we can only go as 'full-screeny" (BTW, I love this and plan on using it) as the website will allow. So sites like Hulu and Fox will go true full screen, but others may not. What were you watching when you were trying to use the full screen function?
Thanks for the reply, I try to install it again on my another laptop which has Windows Vista and its work fine. Before I have been try with windows xp installed on Virtual machine and every time I try to open it, it did not response and its open www.zeevee.com main website without the application. I hope this could help to identify the problem while its not working in Virtual machine. I am using VirtualBox from Sun.
Regards
XP on the virtual machine will definitely cause issues. Zviewer needs to run on a 'true' (for lack of a better word) windows PC as we need the windows video drivers that allow for hardware acceleration features of the graphics card.
Is there any button on my Windows MCE remote that will make it go "full screeny"?
+1
On the sites that support full screen, having a button to do would would be great.
Note that the ZvRemote that comes with ZvBox has a full screen button (to the right and below the yellow and purple Zv button, is a box with four arrows pointing outward). Some applications support this button, some do not. Within ZViewer, the full screen button is supported for many of the sites that ZvPresents brings you to. We are working on getting the full screen button to work for as many of the sites/players as possible. A future release of ZViewer 'may' attempt to have the content play in full screen mode by default (working out the details of this).
That would be Awsome!
I juat starting using the beta 1 release and use Hulu alot and the "full screeny " button works great!!. I used to fnd that sliding the mouse pad to the full screen icon (in the side bar) every time the show woulld start a little annoying providing support to that is fabulous!. It even works when the show is over and you want to go back to the menu > I also use the back button to bring me back to the zeviwer . very important buttons to navigate with .. thanks!
on the topic of starting in full screen I could see how most folk might like that but I think they need to realize it is a site they are at ( plus there is side bar advertizing hulu and others are expecting you to see). with your support to full screen toggle using the "full screeny button" that should be fine but either you might want to show the feature more prominantly in the video or the user guide or allow for a default setting in the zviewer setting menu to allow the user to decide if they wanted to "start all videos in full screen- if possible" or some thing like that .. IMHO I like the button.. thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. In fact, we are working on adding information about which remote control buttons (play, pause, full screen, etc) work for each site. This UI for this isn't yet complete, but there will be some visual representation of what remote control buttons work as you navigate to a site. Glad to hear that you like it so far.
I have the same issue as iderdik. I am using MCE 2005 and would like a button mapped to the full screeny thingy.
Thanks.
So what you are looking for is a button on your Microsoft Media Center remote that will cause ZViewer to go into full screen mode, correct? Perhaps we could add a feature to ZViewer so that when the user presses the 'info' button on the MMC remote, we interpret that as 'full screen'. If this sounds like the feature that you would like, I will put this as an enhancement request and try to get it on the road map.
Thanks,
Eric
Yes!!! That would be perfect!
Okay, the request has been logged. Thanks.
