Feedback for Viewer

Hello Vic, Melanie and Gary. Congratulations to all, I really like the viewer! Great application. I did a 2-3 hour test and have the following initial suggestions and ideas. I will continue to use the tool and will forward along my thoughts.

1. Scrolling up/down- Using the up/down arrow on the keyboard and mouse wheel pages such as CNN scroll well. However, just using the mouse the page moves very choppy (both up/down). It is also not apparent that there is more content beyond what is on the screen. MS Media Center incorporates an arrow at the edges of the viewing screen. When your mouse is placed over it the page scrolls very well. It is also a good indicator that there is more content beyond what is showing.

2. The "New" tab- At first I was confused as to what this was used for (new content for EVERY show/feed, applications, etc.). But then as I began to save my programs I noticed that they were being loaded into this folder. Maybe re-define the folder to more clearly identify that this is an area where one can easily see new content of favorite.

3. The sorting options at the bottom of each screen- The initial setting is "recent" however when you change the sort to "date" or "name" you can't go back to "recent." There is no option for "recent." In addition, not all channels or shows can be sorted. Lastly, the visual of the two buttons, "Change sorting options (channel up/down) to the left and the selection option button to the right looks a little cluttered and confusing. I kept clicking on the button on the right looking for it to do something... Maybe the two can be combined and the text currently in () can be the option the user chooses.

I just thought of something else, if you click on the sorting options button you have to change the sort of the shows, there is no "cancel" button. It is easy to click on it, once you do you have to perform a sort.

4. Programing Icons- Maybe adding an option to change the size of the programming Icon/widows, just like in Windows. It will allow a user to increase/decrease the number of show icons per page.

5. Recent Viewed Programs- Add a option to delete one/some/all of the shows stored in the folder. Click on a show and delete that particular show or have the option to "reset" and clear all recent viewed programs.

6.Add "new" to the "sub folders" like found under programs such as MTV (for example)- if I remember correctly, one has to click through the entire series of folders to see if new content is available.

If you have any additional questions feel free to call.
Best to all,
Vinny
