Feedback on ZvBox after a months or so
Hey All- Just some thoughts I've been meaning to post after using the ZvBox for a month or so:
1) On the zeevee home page there are more content providers in the Zevee present page. (Amazon, CNN) how do I add these to my system, they seem to be missing
2) 1080i update and timeline. I've read here and there a 1080i update is coming, do we have an anticpated timeline?
3) Adding application. I've like to add web pages as applications, ie weather, news etc. How do I specify firefox or IE with a URL to load as an application, it doesn't seem to let me do it?
4) Programable remote- when will the instruction be available for how to program the remote to control a TV or two?
5) Keyboard? The site said august.
6) Zooming in Zviewer, I can use the zoom button in Zviewer to enlarge the 'pictures' but the text describing the program doesn't zoom with it. Can you make the text size change (program descriptions) when the use has zoomed in the pictures?
7) Widgets support? It would be great is the zviewer could support some widget type applications. Think about the zviewer as a large Chumby. If you don't get it, have a look at these http://www.chumby.com/guide. It would be great if I could add and remove content, widgets, from my 'personal Zviewer home page'
8) Full screen internet content. It's a bit cumbersome to have to 'full screen' every time for a site like hulu. Do you have agreements with your content providers such that you could have a zeevee specific URL that immediately loaded the video full screen, skipping the initial web page view?
9) Hulu player- MyVideoPlayer. I'm not sure if you have seen this, but it may be of interest to you as it' a better video/intnernet content player than Firefox. http://www.paulyanez.com/labs/mymediaplayer/
All in all my experience has been good. I primary use the zvbox for 'local casting' Beyond TV and online media.
re #1 and #3 -- these are both in the beta-1 release of zviewer which should be out very, very soon.

jim how will you push the beta release to us , do we need to go into the update to get it , I use it quite alotZV casting and not!...thanks!...ck
BTW in youtube you should allow for adding a search without going all the way to the site and staying in Zviewer ,like you do with hulu. thanks!
The update of Zviewer will be included in the next ZvBox update. Keep an eye out on the icon in the system tray letting you know there is an update available.
