A customer mentioned that he would like ZvBox to go into standby mode when there was no input. Perhaps we could sense that there was no VGA signal or no USB connection and shutdown some of the hardware.
hmmm , if you did that the startup for the ZV would need to be reasonably quick and you wouldnt want it to interfere with addtional boot up time on a PC( checking for updates etc.). I have issues with my MPC coming out of suspend that confuses my HDMI matrix so I usually leave it on all the time. I do manually turn off the VGA video montor when zvcasting so as to end up with LCD screen burn. the TVs then just get a PC screen or the Zviewer all the time ( I turn a given Tv on when I need i) ( I do power down the PC disk drives). so a power down mode for the ZV box would proabably be good only for folks thta regularly turn thier PC off into suspend or hibernate then would restart it ( In PC mode first?) and then the ZV box I would think.
